ABOUT

Hello! My name is Ashley, and I live in Camp Hill, Alabama, where the chicken and goat population outnumber the human one.

I am known for my unique and heavily detailed miniature acrylic paintings, which I affectionately refer to as the Itty Bitty Collection. With my roots being in colored pencils, it was easy for me to bring my affinity for line work and my attention to detail into these tiny canvasses. I HAVE A HEAVY FOCUS ON ANIMALS AND WHIMSY; FREQUENTLY BLENDING THE TWO INTO WEIRD AND WONDERFUL WORKS OF FANTASTICAL ART.

I have been working in traditional art fields for over 20 years, and have shown my work in juried art shows in Florida, Alabama, and Georgia FOR ALMOST AS LONG. I also currently attend and sell my art at a multitude of Comic, ANIME, POP, AND HORROR Conventions in the southern UNITED STATES region (see my Events Page for future event appearances), as well as OCCASIONALLY offering commissioned artwork in the forms of custom paintings, custom Pet Portraits, and tattoo designs.

AS OF 2023 I HAVE STARTED EMBRACING MY INNER ‘VULTURE’ AND WORKING WITH ODDITIES AS WELL. I STILL LOVE TO BRING MY SENSE OF WHIMSY AND LOVE OF COLOR INTO THESE WORKS, WITH A GOAL TO SHOW THAT THERE IS EVEN BEAUTY IN DEATH, AND WE ALL HONOR IT IN OUR OWN WAY. MY OWN IS JUST THROUGH ART AND CREATING A NEW LIFE FROM THE ASHES OF OLD.

I own 25 acres of pine and hardwood forest, where I am steadily building my very own self sustainable Homestead. When I am not creating, I am (constantly) mowing, tending chickens, ducks, turkeys, cats, and dogs, and growing a variety a fruits, vegetables, and trees. I am also a US Army veteran, having served 5 years as a Persian-Afghan Linguist.

My other other job is managing a deer processing facilty and specialty meat market, which is also the hub for venison provisions, a 501(c)3 operation that collects and processes the thousands of unwanted deer harvested in alabama every year and donates those venison products to food pantries and kitcheNs across the state.

My farm’s occupants (for now) consist of 35 chickens, 4 ducks, 8 turkeys, 3 dogs, 7 cats, and 3 very busy humans.
